The Everett Street Gallery is a public showplace and an art education venue by and for the best artists of all mediums our community has to offer.

Artist Guild Unlimited seeks to promote knowledge of and participation in the visual arts through exhibitions, teaching programs, workshops and scholarships.  The guild is dedicated to providing facilities for the exhibition of art executed by and for the education of the public.  The guild is non-sectarian, non-partisan and non-profit.

For the year 2011 - 2012 AGU has made some progress to strengthening its presence in St. Mary Parish.  "Art Everywhere for Everyone" is a theme that developed as grant funding was sought for workshops.  AGU-ESG invites any person who wants to be a part of this organization to come by and see our gallery and find out what we are doing and how you can enjoy the arts in your own hometown.

Oil Painter, Carol Hallock of Bayou Lacombe, Louisiana will be one of the workshop presenters in the spring, 2012.  Donna Smith, AGU member and photographer will also be hosting a series of photography workshops for  beginners and advanced photographers in our historic downtown Morgan City.  "Art in Recovery" is being developed to offer art classes to women and children in recovery through the Claire House in Bayou Vista, Louisiana.

One of the newest and most exciting projects will be the addition of the AGU Student Art Guild Unlimited.  This program will be open to all teen ages 13-17 or college students with an approved enrollment status.  The Student Guild is another way of promoting the arts through education and participation.  The members will be allowed to help with the Annual Labor Day Show, the St. Mary Parish Student Art Show, and participate and organize their very own show.  Click here for registration information!

AGU was the proud recipient of grant funding provided through the Acadiana Center of the Arts Region 4 Decentralized Funding under the Louisiana Division of the Arts.  The funds received will help AGU promote the artists, enlighten and teach the student of all ages and reach out to areas of our community where art may not have reached.  Thank you ACA and LDA for your faith and support in AGU's 2011-2012 project
